Claire Choo obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 2002 with a B.A. in Legal Studies, Sociology. Claire attended law school at the University of San Francisco School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2007. While attending USF School of Law, Claire clerked for the San Francisco County District Attorney’s Office and for the Family Violence Law Center. She was a 2006 Judicial Extern for the Honorable Joyce L. Kennard, Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Danko•Meredith, Claire represented plaintiffs in class and collective actions in state and federal courts. She has represented a wide range of individual and business clients in cases involving personal injury, insurance bad faith, aviation, securities, antitrust and employment law.
Claire came to Danko•Meredith to pursue her passion for trial advocacy and a strong desire to find just compensation for injured individuals. She proudly represents injured clients in tort cases involving catastrophic personal injuries. She was part of the trial team that secured a $9.5 million jury verdict against the State of California for the family of a bicyclist killed in a dangerous crosswalk.
Claire was selected as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star for the past four years, an honor limited to 2.5% of practicing attorneys under the age of 40.
She is a member of the American Bar Association and Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.
Claire is fluent in Korean.
